Plains Base Camp

Utilize the Plains Base Camp in Monster Hunter Wilds' Windward Plains to rest, craft, and prepare for hunts, a vital hub for your expeditions.

Plains Base Camp

The Plains Base Camp is a crucial starting point and safe haven within the Windward Plains region of Monster Hunter Wilds. It serves as a central hub where You can rest, craft, manage their inventory, and interact with important NPCs. Establishing and utilizing base camps is a fundamental aspect of navigating the game's expansive world.

Upon helping certain NPCs, such as the Lynians in the "Forest Findings" mission, players gain the ability to set up Pop-up Camps. The Plains Base Camp is one of the primary locations where this functionality becomes available. To establish a new camp, look for Quatreflies, which flutter near suitable campsite locations. Once a spot is found, the Camping Kit can be accessed from the Item Bar to set up a new camp. Alternatively, You can interact with the Support Desk or the Pop-up Camp Meowster at the Plains Base Camp to establish a camp.

These camps act as vital checkpoints, allowing for quick travel across the map, a place to store excess items, and a safe zone to return to if a hunt goes awry. The ability to set up multiple camps throughout the Windward Plains and other regions significantly enhances exploration efficiency, reducing travel time and providing strategic points for resupply and rest. The Plains Base Camp itself will likely offer core services, making it a frequent destination for hunters early in their journey.

Functions of the Plains Base Camp:

  • Central hub for the Windward Plains region.
  • Allows for the setup of Pop-up Camps.
  • Provides access to the Support Desk and Pop-up Camp Meowster.
  • Likely offers basic crafting and storage services.
  • Acts as a safe zone for hunters.

Mastering the use of base camps and the Pop-up Camp system is essential for efficient exploration and survival in Monster Hunter Wilds.
