Weak Points: Specific body parts that take increased damage from certain attack types (e.g., head for blunt damage, tail for severing).
Breakable Parts: Parts of the monster that can be broken off, often yielding rare materials and sometimes altering the monster's attack patterns or capabilities.

The Monster Compendium is primarily accessed through your Hunter's Notes, which you can open from the pause menu. Information is unlocked progressively:

Scouting: When you first encounter a monster, you'll have very little information. Using your Scoutflies to follow tracks and gather monster research points will gradually fill out the compendium entries.
Observation: Simply observing a monster during a hunt, without attacking, can also yield research points.
Fighting: Engaging in combat and dealing damage is the most effective way to gather detailed information. Breaking parts and capturing monsters also contribute significantly to research levels.
Hunter's Notes: Once you have gathered enough research points for a specific monster, its entry in the Hunter's Notes will become fully detailed, providing all the necessary information for your next hunt.
