The Guiding Lands (Iceborne Expansion)
The Iceborne Expansion introduces Master Rank Optional Quests, which are not essential for story progression but offer valuable materials and unlock special tools and canteen foods. These quests are available only to players who own the Iceborne Expansion. Completing them enhances your hunting capabilities and expands your in-game options.
Master Rank Optional Quests in the Iceborne Expansion provide additional content beyond the main story. These quests are crucial for acquiring specific materials, unlocking new canteen ingredients, and obtaining special tools that can aid you in tougher hunts. Examples of these quests include:
Learning the Clutch: An Iceborne Expansion Low Rank Mission.
Deliver 2 Herbivore Eggs: A delivery quest.
Landing the Landslide Wyvern: A hunting quest.
Thunderous Rumble in the Highlands: Another hunting quest.
To unlock the Iceborne campaign, players must have beaten both Low Rank and High Rank content. For treasure hunting in the Iceborne Expansion, there are 60 treasure locations across all regions, with ten treasures per region. To begin treasure hunting, you must reach Unity Level 6 with the grimalkyne faction of the respective region:
Ancient Forest: Bugtrappers
Rotten Vale: Plunderers
Elder’s Recess: Gajalaka
Wildspire Waste: Protectors
Coral Highlands: Troupers
Hoarfrost Reach: Boaboa
Specific treasure locations in the Coral Highlands include:
Treasure #2: From Camp 12, head down to Area 8, a common hunting ground for monsters like Kirin and Namielle.
Treasure #3: Located on the east side of Area 12, in the top section of Coral Highlands.
Treasure #4: At the very top of Coral Highlands (Area 15), the hint is in the southwest corner of the plateau.
Treasure #5: The first hint leads to a round platform after some swings in Area 9.
Treasure #6: In the low part of Area 6, check the plant on the red platform for the next hint.
