Strategy

Vaal Hazak is an Elder Dragon that controls the deadly effluvium in the Rotten Vale. Its effluvium aura constantly drains your health and halves your maximum health. Bring Nulberries and use the Effluvial Resistance skill (Miasma Jewels) to counter this. Focus on breaking its head and chest to reduce the effluvium's potency. It's a relatively slow monster, so you'll have openings after its attacks. Keep your health topped up and manage the effluvium effect. Fire weapons are very effective.
