Daily Activities & Routines
Establishing a solid daily routine in Sandrock is crucial for maximizing your Builder's efficiency, progressing through commissions, and fostering relationships. This detailed guide will walk you through optimal daily activities, item acquisition, and strategic planning.
Morning Preparations (6:00 AM - 8:00 AM)
Your day begins the moment you wake up. Strategic morning actions can set you up for success.
- Check Mailbox: Always start by checking your Workshop's mailbox. This is where you'll receive new commissions from the Commerce Guild, letters from NPCs, and sometimes even gifts or important notices. Prioritize commissions that align with your current resource stock or those with higher rewards.
- Water Crops: If you have a garden, ensure all your crops are watered using your Water Tank or Dew Collectors. Neglecting crops can lead to reduced yields or even wilting.
- Feed Animals: For those with a stable or coop, feed your animals. This ensures they produce resources like Milk, Eggs, or Wool.
- Gather Workshop Resources: Collect any finished products from your machines (e.g., Copper Bars from the Furnace, Wood Planks from the Recycling Machine). Replenish raw materials as needed to keep production lines running throughout the day.
Mid-Morning & Early Afternoon (8:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
This is prime time for commission work, resource gathering, and social interactions.
Commission Fulfillment
Head to the Commerce Guild to accept new commissions or turn in completed ones. Prioritize commissions based on:
- Reward: Look for commissions offering higher Gols, Reputation, or valuable items.
- Time Limit: Urgent commissions often have better rewards but require immediate attention.
- Resource Availability: Choose commissions for items you can craft easily with existing materials.
Strategy: If you have multiple machines, queue up production for several commission items simultaneously. For example, if you need Bronze Bars and Iron Bars, ensure both your Furnace and Civil Furnace (if upgraded) are busy.
Resource Gathering
Depending on your current needs, dedicate time to gathering essential resources:
- Mining: Explore ruins like the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins for Copper Ore, Tin Ore, and Iron Ore. bring your Pickaxe and plenty of Dew or Water for stamina.
- Wood & Stone: Chop down Poplar Trees or break Sandstone formations around the Sandrock outskirts. The Recycling Machine is excellent for converting Scrap into usable materials.
- Plant Fiber: Harvest Desert Weeds or Sandgrass for Plant Fiber, crucial for crafting Ropes and Fabric.
Tip: Utilize your Mount (e.g., Camel or Horse) to quickly travel to resource-rich areas and carry more loot.
Afternoon & Evening (1:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Focus on social activities, shop visits, and preparing for the next day.
Socializing & Gifting
Building relationships with Sandrock's residents is vital for unlocking perks, quests, and even romance. Check your Social tab to see who you haven't interacted with today.
- Daily Greetings: Simply talking to an NPC once a day provides a small relationship boost.
- Gifting: Give gifts that match an NPC's preferences. For example, Mi-an enjoys Flower Arrangements, while Owen appreciates Coffee. Consult your in-game Social tab or a dedicated character guide for optimal gifts.
- Playing Games: Engage in activities like Sparring or Playing Darts with certain NPCs for extra relationship points.
Shopping & Errands
- By the Stairs: Visit By the Stairs for general goods, seeds, and sometimes rare items.
- Blue Moon Saloon: Owen at the Blue Moon Saloon sells food and drinks that can restore stamina and health.
- Commerce Guild Store: Yan sells blueprints, upgrades, and sometimes specific materials.
Workshop Management
Before heading to bed, ensure your workshop is running smoothly:
- Queue Production: Load your machines (e.g., Furnace, Grinder, Assembler) with materials for items you'll need the next day or for ongoing commissions.
- Organize Inventory: Store excess materials in your Storage Chests to keep your inventory tidy.
Nighttime (7:00 PM onwards)
While you can continue working, your stamina will be lower, and most shops will be closed. This is a good time to:
- Crafting: Focus on crafting smaller items or processing raw materials that don't require leaving your workshop.
- Reading: Read any new Blueprints or Knowledge Books you've acquired to unlock new recipes or gain experience.
- Rest: Go to bed to restore your stamina and health for the next day. Aim to sleep before 3:00 AM to avoid a stamina penalty.
