Facing off against the league's best players is a constant challenge. These players often have maxed-out attributes and Hall of Fame badges, making them difficult to guard and score against.
Strategy:
- Scoring: Don't try to force shots against elite defenders. Look for mismatches, use off-ball screens to get open, or call plays that get you a clean look. Utilize pick-and-rolls effectively.
- Defense:
- Against Shooters (Curry, Lillard): Stick to them like glue. Close out hard on every shot, don't give them space. Use 'Intense-D' and try to go over screens.
- Against Slashers (LeBron, Giannis): Cut off driving lanes. Force them to take contested mid-range shots. Don't jump on pump fakes. Call for help defense if they get past you.
- Against Post Scorers (Jokic, Embiid): Play physical. Try to deny them the ball in the post. If they get it, use 'Post Defense' (L2/LT) and try to block or contest without fouling.
- Team Strategy: Adjust your team's defensive settings in the pause menu to 'Tight' or 'Smother' for their primary scorer.
Rewards: High Teammate Grade, increased fan base, and a sense of accomplishment.
