The battle against Grimoire Rubrum, a formidable Shade wielding potent dark magic, demands a strategic approach and mastery of your combat abilities. This encounter often occurs in the desolate landscapes of the Northern Plains, testing your reflexes and resource management. Grimoire Rubrum's primary offensive capabilities revolve around its sature spell, Dark Blast, which fires a rapid succession of homing projectiles. Dodging these requires precise timing; a well-timed dodge roll with the Evade ability will phase you through the projectiles, leaving you momentarily invulnerable. Another key attack is the Shadow Grasp, where Rubrum attempts to ensnare you with tendrils of darkness. If caught, you'll be immobilized and take continuous damage until you break free by rapidly mashing the attack button. The most dangerous attack is the Umbral Barrage, a wide-area explosion of dark energy.
