This epic duel takes place in the ethereal realm of the Shadow Lord's Castle, a place filled with otherworldly energies. The Shadowlord is a master of both physical and magical combat, utilizing a wide array of devastating attacks. His primary melee assault involves swift, powerful sword swings that can quickly close the distance. These are telegraphed by his aggressive lunges and weapon movements. Dodging these with the Evade ability is crucial for survival. He also employs a devastating Shadow Beam, a concentrated blast of dark energy that can inflict massive damage. This attack has a distinct charge-up animation, giving you a brief window to dodge or find cover behind the few environmental obstacles present.
One of the Shadowlord's most dangerous abilities is his Summon Shades attack, where he calls forth lesser Shades to aid him. These Shades can overwhelm you if not dealt with quickly. If you have equipped the One-Handed Sword, focus on quick, precise combos rather than lengthy ones that leave you exposed. Consider using Words of Power that boost your Attack Speed or provide a temporary shield upon successful dodges. Managing your HP and MP is paramount; ensure you have a sufficient supply of High-Tier Potions. A common mistake is to become too reliant on dodging and neglect offensive opportunities.
