These Scrappers are particularly hazardous due to their tendency to charge and detonate, creating a wide area of effect. Prioritizing their elimination from a distance using Grimoire Weiss's ranged spells like Dark Blast is highly recommended. The Junk Heap Shades, while slower, hit with immense force, so dodging their heavy swings is paramount.
Your objectives in the Junk Heap might involve seeking out specific individuals like the blacksmith Emil, or retrieving vital components for a quest. The environment is littered with scrap metal, broken machinery, and discarded items. Looting these areas thoroughly can yield valuable crafting materials such as Iron, Steel, and various machine parts. These are essential for upgrading your weapons at the blacksmith's forge, which is a critical aspect of increasing your combat effectiveness. Keep an eye out for rare items that might be hidden in less obvious nooks and crannies, often guarded by tougher enemies.
A sificant challenge in the Junk Heap could involve navigating a heavily fortified section of the complex or facing a powerful boss encounter. For example, you might need to clear out a courtyard filled with Junk Heap Scrappers and several larger Junk Heap Shades guarding a vital access point. Utilizing area-of-effect spells like Dark Cloud to debuff multiple enemies or Dark Vortex to group them for a concentrated attack can be highly effective. If you're finding the physical combat too challenging, consider equipping weapons with higher attack speed or those that inflict status effects like poison or bleed, which can chip away at enemy health over time.
