Village Side Quests (Part 1)
The Village, your initial hub and a place of relative peace, offers several early-game side quests that provide valuable resources and introduce you to the inhabitants. These quests are crucial for earning extra Gold and obtaining items that can aid you in your primary journey. One of the first you'll likely encounter is "The Lost Shirin". This quest tasks you with finding a lost cat belonging to the baker's wife. The Shirin can usually be found near the northern edge of the Village, often hiding behind some crates or in the bushes. Returning the Shirin will reward you with a handful of medicinal herbs and a small amount of Gold. Another early quest, "A Shade's Shadow", involves investigating strange occurrences near the Village entrance. You'll need to defeat a few low-level Shades, typically the lumbering Brutes, to clear the path and report back to the quest giver. As you venture further into the Village's offerings, you might stumble upon "The Bookworm's Request". This quest requires you to collect specific books scattered throughout the Village and its immediate surroundings. The books are usually found in prominent locations, such as the library or near the town square. The reward for completing this quest is typically a sificant amount of Gold and sometimes a useful consumable item like a Speed Potion. It's important to pay attention to the dialogue of the villagers, as many will offer these quests organically as you interact with them.
