Village Side Quests (Part 2)
As you progress through the story and revisit the Village, new and more challenging side quests become available, offering greater rewards and further insights into the lives of its residents. One such quest is "The Grocer's Request". This quest involves gathering a specific quantity of rare ingredients, often found in more dangerous areas outside the Village. For instance, you might need to collect 10 bundles of Lunar Tears, which are typically found in the Shadow Forest, an area known for its aggressive Shades. Successfully gathering these ingredients and returning them to the Grocer will earn you a sificant amount of Gold and potentially a rare crafting material like a Royal Jelly. Another quest that tests your combat prowess is "The Farmer's Burden". This quest often requires you to clear out a large infestation of Shades from a nearby farm or field. You'll likely face waves of various Shades, including the fast-moving Soldiers and the formidable Brutes. Clearing the area and reporting back to the farmer will grant you a substantial Gold reward and sometimes a powerful consumable like a Defense Drop.
The Village also offers quests that delve into its history and lore. "The Old Man's Tale" might involve retrieving a lost artifact or a forgotten item from a dangerous ruin or cave system. This quest could lead you to explore areas like the Northern Plains or the Abandoned Replicant Village, where you'll encounter tougher Shades and potentially unique environmental hazards. The reward for such a quest is often a large sum of Gold and sometimes a piece of equipment or a unique item that can be used for crafting or selling. It's important to remember that these later-stage Village quests often serve as excellent opportunities to farm for specific crafting materials, such as Iron Rebar or Titanium Alloy, which are essential for upgrading your weapons. Don't underestimate the value of these seemingly simple quests; they are desed to provide you with the resources and experience needed to tackle the increasingly difficult challenges of the main story. Always ensure you have a good stock of healing items like the Full Restore before embarking on these more demanding tasks.
