Companion Customization & Adoption
No Man's Sky allows players to adopt and customize several companions, adding a personal touch to their interstellar journeys. These companions can range from small, loyal pets to larger, more formidable creatures, each with unique abilities and customization options. Bonding with and upgrading your companion can provide valuable assistance in exploration and combat.
Companions are typically found on planets, often through scanning or by interacting with specific creature types. Once adopted, they can be summoned to follow you, assist in combat, or even help with resource gathering. Their appearance and abilities can be further enhanced through customization and upgrades.
Adopting a Companion
- Scanning Creatures: Use your Analysis Visor to scan creatures on planets. Some creatures can be adopted as companions.
- Interaction: Approach a suitable creature and interact with it. If it's adoptable, you'll have the option to feed it and then adopt it.
- Companion Egg: In some cases, you might find a Companion Egg, which can be incubated to hatch a specific type of companion.
- Summoning: Once adopted, your companion can be summoned from your Exosuit quick menu.
Companion Customization
