You'll encounter three primary sentient alien races in No Man's Sky, each with their own language, culture, and technology:
- Gek: Short, stout, and mercantile. Known for trade and diplomacy.
- Korvax: Robotic, logical, and technologically advanced. Seek knowledge and data.
- Vy'keen: Warrior race, honorable, and aggressive. Value strength and combat.
Learning their languages (by interacting with knowledge stones, monoliths, and NPCs) will unlock new dialogue options and improve your standing with them. Higher standing grants better trade deals and access to unique items and missions.
