Achievements and Trophies

Noita offers a challenging array of achievements that reward exploration, mastery of spells, and often, a bit of chaotic luck. This section will guide you through some of the more elusive and complex achievements, providing actionable steps and strategies to add them to your collection.

The True Ending: A New Beginning

This achievement is awarded for completing the game's true ending, which involves much more than simply defeating the final boss. It requires activating all eleven Orbs of True Knowledge and then confronting the final boss.

  • Step 1: Gather the Orbs of True Knowledge. There are eleven Orbs scattered across the world. Some are found in standard biomes, while others are hidden in secret areas or require specific conditions to access.
    • Orb 1 (Mines): Located in a small, often hidden alcove near the bottom of the Mines. Look for a breakable wall.
    • Orb 2 (Coal Pits): Typically found in a larger, open chamber within the Coal Pits, often guarded by stronger enemies.
    • Orb 3 (Fungal Caverns): Deep within the Fungal Caverns, often requiring careful navigation through toxic fungal growths.
    • Orb 4 (Snowy Depths): Buried deep in the ice and snow. Explosives or digging spells are highly recommended.
    • Orb 5 (Hiisi Base): Located in a heavily fortified section of the Hiisi Base. Be prepared for intense combat.
    • Orb 6 (Underground Jungle): Hidden within the dense foliage and dangerous creatures of the Underground Jungle.
    • Orb 7 (The Vault): Found in a highly dangerous, often lava-filled chamber within The Vault. Fire immunity or cooling spells are crucial.
    • Orb 8 (Temple of the Art): Located in a secret area accessible by breaking a specific wall near the main path.
    • Orb 9 (Lukki Lair): Requires traversing the treacherous Lukki Lair. Be wary of the giant spiders.
    • Orb 10 (Desert Chasm): Found in a hidden area beneath the desert, often requiring a long fall or digging.
    • Orb 11 (The Work): The final orb is located in a secret area within The Work, often requiring precise movement or specific spell combinations to reach.
  • Step 2: Prepare for the Final Confrontation. After collecting all eleven Orbs, the final boss's power will be significantly amplified. Ensure you have a powerful wand setup, plenty of healing, and immunities (especially to polymorph and toxic) before entering the boss arena. Consider bringing a Black Hole spell for environmental manipulation and a Chaotic Transmutation for emergency rerolls of unwanted perks.
  • Step 3: Defeat the True Final Boss. The fight will be significantly harder than the standard ending. Focus on dodging attacks and exploiting any elemental weaknesses the boss might have.

No-Hit Run: The Untouchable

This achievement challenges you to complete a full run of the game (defeating the standard final boss) without taking any damage. This is one of the most difficult achievements and requires immense skill, planning, and a bit of luck.

  • Strategy: Prioritize Defense and Evasion.
    • Perks: Focus on perks like Repelling Field, Projectile Repulsion Field, Explosion Immunity, Fire Immunity, and Toxic Immunity. Vampirism can be useful for healing without taking damage from enemies, but avoid taking damage to activate it.
    • Wands: Early game, prioritize wands with good projectile speed and damage to eliminate threats quickly. Later, seek out wands with Teleport Bolt or Black Hole for quick escapes and environmental manipulation. A powerful digging wand (e.g., Drill or Digging Bolt with Speed Up) is essential for bypassing dangerous areas.
    • Spells: Personal Shield and Energy Shield are invaluable for blocking stray projectiles. Spark Bolt with Trigger combined with powerful damage spells (e.g., Explosion, Lightning Bolt) allows for safe, ranged attacks. Freeze Field can immobilize enemies for easy takedowns.
  • Playstyle: Patience and Avoidance.
    • Scouting: Always scout ahead with a light source or a small projectile to reveal hidden enemies or traps.
    • Ranged Combat: Engage enemies from a distance whenever possible. Do not rush into rooms.
    • Environmental Awareness: Use the environment to your advantage. Lure enemies into traps, exploit falling debris, or drown them.
    • Avoid Unnecessary Fights: If an enemy poses a significant threat and doesn't block your path, consider bypassing them entirely.
    • Healing: Since you cannot take damage, any healing you find (e.g., from heart pickups or the Vampirism perk) is purely for increasing your maximum health, which is still beneficial.
  • Key Areas:
    • Mines: Watch out for falling rocks and the explosive barrels.
    • Coal Pits: The fire mages and explosive enemies are significant threats.
    • Hiisi Base: The sheer density of enemies and projectile spam makes this area particularly challenging. Use cover and powerful piercing spells.
    • The Work: The final boss requires precise dodging. Practice the fight on regular runs to learn its patterns.

The Alchemist: Master of Transmutation

This achievement requires you to successfully perform all known alchemical reactions in a single run. This is a complex undertaking that demands knowledge of Noita's intricate material interactions.

  • Understanding Alchemy: Alchemical reactions occur when specific materials come into contact. The key is to find or create these materials and then mix them.
  • Essential Spells and Items:
    • Material Pouch: Crucial for carrying and mixing various liquids and powders.
    • Acid: Useful for dissolving certain materials and creating new ones.
    • Lava: Can be used to create rock and other substances when mixed with water.
    • Water: The most common liquid, essential for many reactions.
    • Blood: Often found from enemies, or can be created with certain spells.
    • Oil: Found in various biomes, can be ignited.
    • Slime: Often found in the Fungal Caverns.
    • Freezing Liquid: Can be found or created, essential for freezing reactions.
    • Teleport Bolt: For reaching hidden areas with rare materials.
    • Black Hole: For digging and accessing otherwise unreachable material veins.
  • Key Reactions to Perform (Examples):
    • Water + Lava = Stone: A very basic reaction, easily achieved.
    • Water + Freezing Liquid = Ice: Another straightforward reaction.
    • Blood + Water = Toxic Sludge: Be careful not to get poisoned.
    • Oil + Fire = Burning Oil: Requires a source of fire.
    • Toxic Sludge + Electricity = Explosive Gas: Extremely dangerous, handle with care.
    • Slime + Acid = Corrosive Slime: Can quickly eat through terrain.
    • Fungus + Water = Spore Cloud: Can be found naturally or created.
    • Gold + Acid = Liquid Gold: A rare and valuable reaction. Requires finding a significant amount of gold.
    • Meat + Fire = Cooked Meat: A simple reaction, but often overlooked.
    • Swamp + Freezing Liquid = Frozen Swamp: Creates a solid, traversable surface.
    • Mud + Water = Wet Mud: A subtle but important reaction.
  • Strategy: Document and Explore. Keep a list of all known reactions and check them off as you perform them. Explore every biome thoroughly, as different materials are more prevalent in certain areas. Consider using a seed known for good material generation if you're struggling. The Material Pouch is your best friend for this achievement; fill it with various liquids and powders and experiment!
