Collectibles Guide

Welcome, Observer! This comprehensive guide will help you track down every elusive collectible hidden within the labyrinthine corridors and mind-bending dreamscapes of Observer. Collecting these items not only enriches the game's already deep lore but can also unlock achievements and provide valuable insight into the dystopian future you inhabit. Prepare your neural implant for a deep dive!

There are two primary types of collectibles to hunt for:

  • Nanoskin Cards: These digital trading cards depict various characters, technologies, and events from the game's universe. They often require careful exploration and interaction with the environment to uncover.
  • Patient Records: These audio logs and data fragments offer chilling glimpses into the lives and minds of the apartment building's inhabitants, providing crucial backstory and atmosphere.

Remember to utilize your EM vision (activated by pressing the designated button, typically L1/LB on consoles or 'E' on PC) frequently. Many collectibles emit a distinct electromagnetic signature, making them easier to spot in the gloom.

Nanoskin Cards

Nanoskin Cards are often tucked away in less obvious locations. Keep an eye out for glowing blue outlines when using EM vision, as this often indicates an interactive collectible.

Chapter 1: The Apartment Building

Apartment 007 - Helena Nowak

  • Nanoskin Card: "Helena Nowak": After gaining access to Helena's apartment, thoroughly search her bedroom. The card is usually found on her bedside table, nestled amongst personal effects. You may need to interact with a few items to reveal it.
  • Nanoskin Card: "Chiron Corporation": In the living room, near the holographic projector displaying the city skyline. Look closely at the small table to the right of the projector. It's subtly placed.

Apartment 008 - Amir Koria

  • Nanoskin Card: "Amir Koria": Once you've entered Amir's apartment, head directly to the kitchen. The card is often found on the counter next to the sink, sometimes partially obscured by a dirty dish.
  • Nanoskin Card: "Neural Implant": In Amir's study, located on his desk. It's usually near the terminal you need to interact with for story progression. Don't rush past it!

Chapter 2: The Sewers

Maintenance Tunnels

  • Nanoskin Card: "The Outbreak": After navigating the initial flooded sections, you'll come across a small, dry alcove with some discarded equipment. The card is lying on top of a rusty barrel. Use your EM vision to pinpoint its exact location.

Patient Records

Patient Records are typically audio logs or data files that can be played or read from your neural interface. They are often found on personal terminals, data pads, or hidden within the environment.

Chapter 1: The Apartment Building

Apartment 007 - Helena Nowak

  • Patient Record: "Helena's Diary Entry 1": Found on Helena's personal terminal in her bedroom. Interact with the terminal and navigate to her personal files.
  • Patient Record: "Chiron Memo - Project Chimera": In the living room, on a data pad resting on the coffee table. This record provides crucial background on the Chiron Corporation's more morally ambiguous projects.

Apartment 008 - Amir Koria

  • Patient Record: "Amir's Research Notes": Accessible from Amir's main computer terminal in his study. Look for a folder labeled "Research" or "Personal Logs."
  • Patient Record: "Tenant Complaint - Noise": On a small, dusty data pad found on a shelf in the hallway leading to Amir's bathroom. This one is easy to miss if you're not carefully scanning every surface.

Chapter 2: The Sewers

Underground Clinic

  • Patient Record: "Clinic Log - Dr. Adam": Once you reach the makeshift clinic area, look for a medical terminal near the operating table. The log is usually the first entry in the terminal's records.
  • Patient Record: "Patient Interview - Subject 3": In a small, dimly lit side room off the main clinic area. There's a data pad on a metal cart. This record offers a disturbing insight into the clinic's practices.

Remember, thorough exploration is key in Observer. Don't be afraid to backtrack slightly or spend extra time in each area. Many collectibles are cleverly hidden and require a keen eye and a patient approach. Good luck, Observer!
