Act 1: The Tenement
Your journey begins in the dilapidated tenement building, a labyrinth of secrets and forgotten lives. Many initial items are vital for progression or provide crucial backstory.
- Synchrozine Dose (Initial): Upon gaining control of Daniel Lazarski, head into the bathroom directly opposite your apartment door. It's on the sink. This is a crucial early item to manage your neural degradation.
- Apartment 007 Keycard: After your initial investigation of your own apartment, you'll need to access the locked apartment 007. This keycard is found on the desk in your apartment, near the broken comms unit.
- Data Log: "Tenant Roster": Located on the reception desk in the main lobby area, just after you exit the elevator. Scan it with your EM Vision for valuable information on the building's residents.
- Chiron Network Access Device: This essential device is acquired during the main questline, typically after interacting with the building's superintendent. It allows you to interface with various electronic systems.
- Drug Stash (Apartment 008): Inside Apartment 008, after gaining access, look for a hidden compartment behind a loose floorboard near the bed. Contains a small amount of Synchrozine and some credits.
- Photo Fragment (Apartment 009): After investigating the initial crime scene in Apartment 009, scan the area thoroughly. A small, torn photo fragment can be found on the floor near the victim's body. These fragments are part of a larger collectible set.
Act 2: Beyond the Walls
As you delve deeper into the building's mysteries, new areas will open up, each with its own set of challenges and hidden items. Pay close attention to environmental cues.
- Maintenance Key (Basement Access): This key is often found in the superintendent's office, usually on a pegboard or within a desk drawer. It's indispensable for accessing the building's lower levels.
- Data Log: "Building Schematics": In the basement maintenance room, look for a terminal or a physical blueprint hanging on the wall. Scanning this provides a detailed layout of the tenement, which can be helpful for navigation.
- Synchrozine Dose (Hidden Vent): In one of the more dilapidated sections of the basement, keep an eye out for a small, accessible vent. Crawl through to find a hidden cache, often containing a Synchrozine dose and some minor lore items.
- Photo Fragment (Laundry Room): The laundry room, often a side area in the basement, can hold secrets. Check inside washing machines or on shelves for another photo fragment.
- Medical Supplies (Clinic Area): Once you gain access to the makeshift clinic or medical bay within the tenement, several medical supplies, including additional Synchrozine, can be found on examination tables or in cabinets.
Act 3: The Climax and Beyond
The final act of your investigation will lead you to critical revelations and some of the most elusive items. Don't rush; every detail matters.
- Master Override Chip: This high-level access chip is usually found in a secure location, such as the main server room or the building's central control hub. It's vital for bypassing advanced security systems.
- Data Log: "Project Chimera": Within the more restricted areas of the building, particularly those related to the game's overarching narrative, look for terminals containing sensitive project data. This log is crucial for understanding the plot.
- Last Photo Fragment: The final photo fragment is often located in the most personal or significant area related to the main antagonist or victim. It might be in a hidden safe or a meticulously kept personal space.
- Unique Weapon/Tool (Optional): Depending on your choices and exploration, you might uncover a unique, non-essential tool or weapon in the final stages. These are often well-hidden and require careful observation.
Remember to utilize your EM Vision and Bio Vision frequently to highlight interactive objects and hidden clues. Many items, especially data logs and photo fragments, are easily missed without these tools. Good luck, Observer!
