Throughout your investigation, you will encounter various locked doors, requiring specific Keycards or traditional Keys to gain access. These items are crucial for progressing the main story and accessing new areas of the apartment complex. Keys are typically physical objects, often found in drawers, on desks, or on the bodies of deceased individuals. For example, the Janitor's Key is required to enter Adam's apartment. Keycards, on the other hand, are electronic access devices, usually found near computer terminals, security offices, or on individuals associated with specific areas. They often have a distinct visual design, indicating their purpose (e.g., 'Maintenance Keycard,' 'Chiron Employee Keycard'). When you acquire a key or keycard, it is automatically added to your inventory and will be used contextually when you interact with the corresponding locked door. Always be thorough in your search of new areas, especially after major events, as a missed key or keycard can halt your progress. Using your EM-Vision (1) can sometimes highlight these items if they are electronic or have a faint electromagnetic signature.
