Synchrozine is the most critical consumable item in Observer. It is a synthetic drug designed to stabilize Daniel's neural implants and, consequently, his mental synchronization. Your Synchronization (Sync) meter, located in the bottom-left of the HUD, constantly depletes when you use your vision modes (EM and Bio-Vision), experience disturbing events, or undergo neural dives. If the Sync meter drops too low, Daniel will suffer severe visual and auditory hallucinations, and eventually, his implants will fail, leading to a game over. Consuming a vial of Synchrozine (usually by pressing a designated key, often R or a quick-slot button) instantly restores a significant portion of your Sync meter. You'll find Synchrozine vials scattered throughout the apartment complex, often in bathrooms, medical cabinets, or hidden in drawers and on shelves. It's highly recommended to always keep at least 2-3 vials on hand, especially before initiating a neural dive, as these sequences are particularly taxing on Daniel's mental state. Efficiently managing your Synchrozine supply is paramount for survival and successful investigation.
