After the janitor refuses to open his door, you'll need to find an alternative entry into the Maintenance Room. From the janitor's door, turn around and look for a small, dark alcove or a section of the wall that seems out of place. Activate your EM-Vision (1). You should see a faint blue outline indicating an electrical panel or a ventilation grate. Interact with this panel (E) to open it. This will reveal a crawlspace or a series of wires that you can manipulate. Follow the prompts to bypass the lock or open a hidden passage. Sometimes, you might need to solve a simple circuit puzzle by connecting wires correctly. Once the path is clear, crouch (C) and enter the newly opened access point. This will lead you directly into the janitor's office, allowing you to proceed with your search for the key. Be prepared for a slightly claustrophobic experience as you navigate these tight spaces.
