Throughout the apartment complex, you'll encounter numerous locked doors with intercoms. Interacting with these intercoms (E) allows Daniel to speak with the residents inside. These 'resident interrogations' are optional but highly recommended. Each resident has a unique personality, often reflecting the despair and paranoia of the cyberpunk world. Their dialogue can range from cryptic warnings to mundane complaints, but occasionally, they will offer valuable insights into the building's history, other residents, or even subtle clues related to the main investigation. Some residents might ask for favors, such as retrieving a lost item, which can lead to mini-quests. Others might simply refuse to speak or offer unsettling monologues. Pay attention to their voices and the context of their words, as they often paint a vivid picture of life in this dystopian future. While you can't dive into every resident's mind, these conversations provide a rich layer of environmental storytelling and character development, making the world feel more alive and tragic. Don't skip these interactions if you want to fully appreciate the game's narrative depth.
