Maximizing Experience & Loot

To maximize your experience gains and acquire the best possible loot in Outriders, a focused approach to gameplay is essential. Completing main story missions and side quests will always provide sificant experience points and often reward you with valuable gear. However, for sustained progression, especially in the endgame, engaging with Expeditions becomes paramount. These challenging, repeatable missions offer the highest rewards in terms of experience and powerful loot, including Legendaries. The higher the Challenge Tier you can successfully complete an Expedition on, the greater the potential for rare and powerful drops. For example, completing the "Eye of the Storm" Expedition on a high Challenge Tier can yield a wealth of Epic and Legendary gear, along with substantial experience.

When it comes to loot, rarity plays a sificant role. Common (white) and Uncommon (green) gear should be salvaged for crafting materials, as they offer minimal stat benefits and lack impactful mods. Rare (blue) gear can be useful in the early to mid-game, often featuring decent stats and one or two useful mods. Epic (purple) gear is where you'll start to see sificant power spikes, with higher base stats and multiple mod slots, including powerful Legendary mods that can be extracted and applied to other gear. Legendary (gold) items are the pinnacle of loot, offering unique, often build-defining perks that cannot be found on any other rarity. Prioritize completing Expeditions that drop the specific gear you are looking for, and consider using the "Transmutation" feature at the Blacksmith to upgrade the rarity of your gear or reroll stats, allowing you to fine-tune your loadout. Remember to salvage unwanted gear at the Blacksmith to gather resources like Titanium and Leather, which are crucial for upgrading your equipment.
