The endgame of Outriders is primarily focused on Expeditions, challenging missions desed to test your build and combat prowess. These missions offer the highest chance for legendary gear and are crucial for maximizing your character's power. Unlike the main story campa, Expeditions are repeatable, allowing players to farm for specific gear pieces and experiment with different strategies. The difficulty of Expeditions is scaled through a tiered system, with higher tiers presenting more formidable enemies and environmental hazards, but also offering sificantly better rewards. Successfully completing these missions requires a deep understanding of your chosen class's abilities, such as the Pyromancer's Heat abilities or the Technomancer's Deployable Turrets, and how they synergize with your weapon choices and gear mods. The endgame loop revolves around optimizing your build to clear these Expeditions as quickly and efficiently as possible, aiming for Gold ratings to unlock the best possible loot.

Each Expedition presents unique challenges and enemy compositions. For instance, the Chem Plant might feature a high concentration of Alchemist enemies, requiring specific crowd control or damage-dealing strategies. Understanding enemy weaknesses and resistances is paramount. For example, many enemies in Outriders are susceptible to certain damage types, and exploiting these can drastically shorten clear times. The game encourages cooperative play, and coordinating abilities with teammates, such as a Trickster's Temporal Blade combined with a Devastator's Earthquake, can create devastating combos.
