Plan your Pacific Drive expeditions with optimal loadouts. Choose the right car upgrades, tools, and supplies for scavenging or mission objectives.

Expedition Planning and Loadouts

Successful expeditions into the Olympic Exclusion Zone are built on careful planning and the right loadout. Before you even start your engine, consider your objective: are you scavenging for specific resources, attempting a mission, or simply exploring a new area? Your goals will dictate what you need to bring with you.

Essential items for any trip include a reliable supply of Fuel, as running out of gas is a swift path to disaster. Always ensure your tank is at least half full before venturing out. Scrap Metal is vital for immediate repairs, and carrying a few Duct Tape rolls can fix minor damage on the go. For more sificant repairs, you'll want to have components like Wire and Battery Parts, which can be found during your scavenging runs.

Consider the potential hazards of the area you're heading into. If you anticipate encountering frequent Anomalies, packing extra Energy Cells for your car's systems, especially the headlights and any defensive upgrades, is a wise choice. If you're venturing into areas known for environmental hazards like thick fog or radiation, bringing specialized items like Radiation Scrubber components or extra Tarp for temporary seals might be necessary.

Your inventory space is limited, so prioritize. A good rule of thumb is to carry enough repair materials to fix minor to moderate damage, a healthy reserve of fuel, and any mission-specific items. Don't forget tools like the Crowbar for prying open stubborn containers or the Wrench for more intricate repairs. As you unlock new blueprints and upgrade your car, your loadout strategies will evolve. For instance, if you've installed an EMP Emitter, you might carry fewer defensive items and rely more on disabling threats from a distance.

Finally, always leave some room in your trunk for the resources you'll be collecting. The primary goal of many expeditions is to gather valuable materials to upgrade your car and craft new items. A well-planned loadout not only ensures your survival but also maximizes your scavenging efficiency.
