In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Mario is your sole playable character. Unlike previous Paper Mario titles, there are no permanent partners to join you in battle. However, your 'build' is determined by your sticker choices and how you manage your Sticker Album. This section will focus on optimizing Mario's combat effectiveness through strategic sticker management.

Since Mario's stats (HP, attack power) are fixed and only increase through specific upgrades, your primary way to customize his 'build' is through the stickers you carry. Think of your Sticker Album as your inventory and your strategy.
