Stickers are the heart of Paper Mario: Sticker Star's combat system. They are your attacks, your items, and your special abilities. Understanding how to acquire, manage, and use them is paramount.
Acquiring Stickers:
- Peeling: Use the A button to peel stickers directly from the environment. Look for sparkling spots!
- Shop: Purchase stickers from Toad Shops found in various towns.
- Battles: Enemies often drop stickers upon defeat.
- Blocks: Hit question mark blocks and hidden blocks to reveal stickers.
Sticker Album:
Your Sticker Album holds all your collected stickers. It has a limited capacity, so you'll need to manage it carefully. Stronger stickers take up more space. Don't hoard weak stickers; use them in regular encounters to save your powerful ones for bosses or tougher enemies. You can organize your album by dragging stickers with the stylus.
Sticker Types:
- Attack Stickers: Jump, Hammer, Fire Flower, Ice Flower, etc.
- Status Effect Stickers: Poison Mushroom, Sleepy Sheep.
- Healing Stickers: Super Mushroom, Life Shroom.
- Thing Stickers: Powerful, single-use stickers derived from real-world objects.
Always keep a balanced inventory of attack, healing, and status effect stickers. Running out of options in battle can be disastrous!
