World 1-3: Water's Edge Way
Welcome to Water's Edge Way! This stage introduces new environmental puzzles and enemies. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden paths and useful stickers.
Initial Path and First Goomba Encounter
- From the start, head right. You'll immediately encounter a few Goombas. These are standard enemies, easily defeated with a Jump or Hammer sticker.
- Continue right past the first set of Goombas. You'll see a small stream of water.
The First Bridge Puzzle
Shortly after the stream, you'll come across a gap that requires a bridge. This is your first taste of environmental interaction in this level.
- Notice the small, circular indentation on the ground near the gap. This signifies a spot where you can use the Paperization ability.
- Activate Paperization (press Y).
- Look for the outline of a bridge. Peel it off the background.
- Place the Bridge sticker onto the circular indentation to form a path across the gap.
- Cross the newly formed bridge.
Hidden Block and Sticker Opportunities
After crossing the bridge, be observant:
- Immediately to your right, jump to reveal a hidden block containing a Jump sticker.
- Continue right. You'll see a small ledge above. Jump to reach it.
- On this ledge, you'll find a Hammer sticker.
- Drop down and proceed further right.
The Water Wheel and Second Bridge
You'll soon reach an area with a large water wheel and another gap.
- Before dealing with the gap, notice the Paragoomba flying around. These can be tricky; a well-timed Jump sticker can knock them out of the sky, or a Hammer sticker can deal direct damage.
- To cross the next gap, you'll need to activate the water wheel. Head to the rightmost edge of the current platform.
- Activate Paperization.
- You'll see a Water Wheel Segment sticker. Peel it off.
- Place the Water Wheel Segment onto the incomplete water wheel. This will start the wheel turning, which in turn moves a platform into place, forming a bridge.
- Cross this new bridge.
The Final Stretch and Comet Piece
You're nearing the end of the stage!
- After crossing the water wheel bridge, continue right. You'll encounter a few more Goombas.
- Keep moving right, and you'll see the Comet Piece hovering at the end of the path.
- Jump to collect the Comet Piece, completing World 1-3!
check your Sticker Album and replenish any used stickers at Decalburg before heading to the next stage!
