World 2-2: Sand-Filled Cave

Welcome to the Sand-Filled Cave! This stage introduces new challenges and a few hidden secrets. Be prepared for some quick thinking and strategic sticker usage.

Navigating the Cave Entrance

Upon entering, you'll notice a large pile of sand blocking your path. This isn't just decoration; it's your first puzzle!

  • Head to the right and defeat the Pokey you encounter.
  • Continue right until you find a Fan Thing Sticker on the ground. pick this up, as it's crucial for progression.
  • Return to the sand pile. Use your Paperize ability (X button) and place the Fan Thing Sticker onto the designated outline.
  • Activate the fan. This will blow away the sand, revealing the path forward.

The Shifting Sands Chamber

The next area features a large chamber with shifting sand. Keep an eye out for enemies and collectibles.

  • As you move through this chamber, be wary of Sandmaarghs that pop out of the sand. They can be tricky, so consider using Jump stickers for an advantage.
  • Look for a small alcove on the left side of this chamber. Inside, you'll find a Shiny Jump Sticker. This is excellent for tougher enemies or bosses.
  • Continue to the right side of the chamber. You'll see a small ledge that's just out of reach.
  • To access the ledge, use your Paperize ability. You'll spot a hidden Spring Thing Sticker outline. Place a Spring Thing Sticker (if you have one, otherwise backtrack to find one or use the Battle Spinner for a chance) to create a spring.
  • Jump on the spring to reach the upper ledge.

The Hidden Exit and Comet Piece

The upper ledge leads to the final stretch of the cave and the Comet Piece.

  • On the upper ledge, proceed to the right. You'll encounter a few more Pokey enemies.
  • Before reaching the exit, look for a cracked section of the wall on the right. Use a Hammer Sticker (or a stronger variant like a Hurlhammer Sticker) to break it open.
  • Inside the newly revealed passage, you'll find the Comet Piece for World 2-2. Collect it to complete the stage!

Optional: Sticker Opportunities

  • Throughout the cave, keep an eye out for sparkling spots on the ground. These often yield common stickers like Jump or Hammer stickers, which are always useful to replenish your album.
  • hit any visible Question Blocks for additional stickers or coins.
