World 3-12: Bowser's Snow Fort

Welcome to Bowser's Snow Fort, the final icy challenge of World 3! This level is a straightforward gauntlet leading to the third Royal Sticker. Be prepared for a series of battles and a mini-boss encounter. Ensure your sticker album is well-stocked with powerful attack stickers and a few healing options.

Fort Entrance and First Gauntlet

  1. Initial Path: From the start, head right. You'll immediately encounter a few

    Shy Guys

    and

    Sledge Bros.

    patrolling the path. Engage them carefully;

    Sledge Bros.

can hit hard, so consider using Jump stickers or a

    Hammer

    to flip them.
  2. Hidden Block: Before entering the main fort structure, jump around the top-right corner of the first snowdrift you encounter. A hidden block here contains a

    Shiny Jump

    sticker.
  3. First Fort Room: Proceed into the fort. The first room is a long corridor with several

    Ice Bros.

    and

    Snifits

    .

    Ice Bros.

can freeze Mario, so prioritize them. A well-timed

    Fire Flower

sticker can clear multiple enemies here.
  4. Sticker Opportunity: On the left wall of this corridor, look for a slightly discolored section. Paperize here to reveal a

    Super Hammer

    sticker.

Mid-Fort Ascent

  1. Stairwell Ambush: As you ascend the first set of stairs, a

    Hammer Bro

will drop down from above. These enemies are tough; use your strongest

    Jump

    stickers or a

    POW Block

    if you have one.
  2. Coin Block Alley: At the top of the stairs, you'll find a small ledge with three visible coin blocks. Hit them all for some extra coins. Be wary, as a

    Spiny

    often patrols this narrow path.
  3. Second Fort Room: This room features a series of moving platforms over a bottomless pit. Time your jumps carefully. There are also a few

    Paratroopas

flying around; you can often avoid them or knock them down with a well-aimed jump.
  4. Secret Panel: Near the end of the moving platform section, look for a small alcove on the upper wall. Jump to reveal a hidden panel containing a

    Leaf

    sticker.

Mini-Boss: Giant Ice Bro

As you reach the highest point of the fort, a

Giant Ice Bro

will confront you. This is a formidable foe, so ensure your battle deck is ready.

  • Attacks: The

    Giant Ice Bro

has two main attacks: a powerful ice hammer swing that hits all of Mario's HP, and an ice breath attack that can freeze Mario, making him lose a turn.
  • Strategy:
    • Fire is Key:

      Fire Flower

stickers are incredibly effective against the

      Giant Ice Bro

, dealing significant damage and preventing him from freezing you. Use them liberally.
    • Strong Jumps:

      Shiny Jump

      or

      Super Jump

stickers can also deal good damage, especially if you can land the action command.
    • Healing: Keep an eye on your HP. If you get frozen, use a

      Mushroom

      or

      Super Mushroom

on your next turn if you have one, or simply endure the turn if you're not in immediate danger.
    • Thing Sticker: If you have the

      Hair Dryer

Thing Sticker, now is an excellent time to use it. It deals massive fire damage to the

      Giant Ice Bro

      .
  • Reward: Defeating the

    Giant Ice Bro

will reward you with a large amount of coins and often a powerful sticker like a

    Mega Jump

    or

    Mega Hammer

    .

Final Stretch to the Royal Sticker

  1. Post-Boss Path: After defeating the

    Giant Ice Bro

, head right. The path is now clear of major threats, though a few stray

    Goombas

    or

    Koopas

    might appear.
  2. Sticker Comet: You'll see the

    Comet Sticker

shimmering at the end of the path. Approach it to claim the third Royal Sticker and complete World 3-12!
  3. Collectibles: Before exiting, check behind the final snowdrift on the right for a hidden

    Coin Block

    containing a few extra coins.

Congratulations on clearing Bowser's Snow Fort! You're now one step closer to recovering all the Royal Stickers.
