Mario's primary offensive tools are his boots for Jump attacks and his hammer for Hammer attacks. While he starts with basic versions, you'll find and purchase upgraded versions throughout the game. Shiny Boots and Shiny Hammers deal more damage than their regular counterparts. Even stronger are Flashy Boots and Flashy Hammers, and the most powerful are Legendary Boots and Legendary Hammers. Each tier of equipment deals progressively more damage. These items have limited durability, meaning they will break after a certain number of uses. Always keep spares on hand and prioritize using stronger equipment for tougher enemies and bosses. You can check their durability in your inventory.
