One of the most prominent side activities in Paper Mario: The Origami King is rescuing the countless Toads folded into various shapes and hidden throughout the world. Toads can be found folded into trees, bushes, rocks, walls, and even disguised as everyday objects. Use your hammer liberally to hit anything that looks suspicious! Some Toads are also trapped in 'Not-Bottomless Holes' and require confetti to be rescued. Each rescued Toad contributes to a counter in the Toad Town Museum, and reaching certain milestones unlocks rewards. Rescuing all Toads in an area often reveals a special secret or opens up new pathways. They also provide valuable hints and sometimes even cheer you on in battle!
