After completing the main story, the true end-game begins with the Atlas of Worlds. Maps are special items that open portals to instanced zones with increased difficulty and rewards. You'll progress through tiers of maps, eventually challenging the Atlas's conquerors and the Maven. This is where most of your character's power and wealth will be acquired. Understanding map modifiers and crafting is key.
