Persona Stat & Skill Growth Guide
Maximizing your Personas' potential in Persona 3 FES involves understanding their stat growth and how to effectively manage their skill sets. Each Persona has base stats that increase as they level up, and these stats influence their effectiveness in combat. The primary stats are Strength (STR), Magic (MAG), Endurance (END), Agility (AGI), and Luck (LCK).
Strength (STR): Affects the damage dealt by physical attacks.
Magic (MAG): Affects the damage and effectiveness of magical skills (elemental attacks, healing, buffs, debuffs).
Endurance (END): Affects the amount of damage taken. Higher END means less damage received.
Agility (AGI): Affects turn order in battle and the chance to evade attacks.
Luck (LCK): Affects critical hit rates, status ailment infliction/resistance, and item drop rates.
While base stat growth is largely determined by the Persona itself, you can influence it through various means. Using specific items, such as the Stat Incense series (e.g., Power Incense for STR, Magic Incense for MAG), can permanently boost a Persona's stats. These are rare, so use them judiciously on your most prized Personas.
Skill growth is even more critical. Personas learn new skills as they level up. However, the skill pool is finite. This is where the fusion system becomes paramount. By carefully selecting which skills to inherit during fusion, you can create Personas with optimized skill sets. For example, a Persona with high MAG would benefit from inheriting powerful offensive magic skills like Mamudoon or Garudyne, alongside a healing skill like Diarama for survivability. Conversely, a Persona intended for support might focus on skills like Sukukaja, Rakukaja, and Media.
Consider the Persona's Arcana. Personas of the same Arcana as an active Social Link receive bonus experience during fusion, allowing them to level up faster and potentially learn more skills. Always check the available skills during fusion and prioritize those that complement the Persona's strengths or cover its weaknesses. Don't be afraid to experiment with different fusions to achieve the perfect skill combination for your playstyle.
