December: Full Moon Operation: The Appraiser

December brings the final Full Moon Operation, and it's a significant one. The stakes are higher than ever, and preparation is key. This guide will walk you through the specifics of confronting the Appraiser, ensuring you're ready for the challenges ahead.

Pre-Operation Preparation (December 1st - 3rd)

Before the Full Moon, focus on maximizing your team's potential and gathering essential resources. Remember, this is your last chance to tackle certain Social Links before the endgame, so prioritize wisely if you're aiming for completion.

  • Persona Fusions: Aim for Personas with strong Ice and Pierce attacks, as the Appraiser and its minions are vulnerable to these. Personas like King Frost (Ice) and Odin (Pierce/Electric) are excellent choices if you have the levels and resources. fuse Personas with healing and support skills like Mediarahan and Debilitate.
  • Equipment Upgrades: Visit the Police Station in Paulownia Mall. Ensure all active party members have their best available weapons, armor, and accessories. Consider purchasing items that boost HP/SP or provide resistance to common ailments. The Omega Drive for the protagonist (if available) is highly recommended.
  • Consumables: Stock up on Snuff Souls, Soma, Homunculi, and Balm of Life from the Pharmacy in Paulownia Mall. These will be crucial for sustained combat and emergency revivals.
  • Social Links: If you're close to maxing out any Social Links, prioritize them. The bonuses from maxed Social Links can provide powerful Personas for fusion, which will be invaluable for the upcoming battles.

Full Moon Operation: December 4th

The operation begins on December 4th. You'll automatically proceed to the target location after story events. Ensure your party is set up for success.

Party Composition

For this operation, a balanced party is essential. We recommend the following:

  • Protagonist: Your main damage dealer and Persona user. Focus on Personas with strong Ice and Pierce attacks, as well as support skills.
  • Yukari: Your primary healer and wind damage dealer. Her Mediarahan will be vital.
  • Aigis: Excellent physical attacker and support. Her Orgia Mode can deal massive damage, and her buffs are invaluable.
  • Mitsuru or Koromaru:
    • Mitsuru: Strong Ice damage and some healing. Her Bufudyne will be very effective against the boss.
    • Koromaru: Fire and Dark damage, good for clearing adds and inflicting status ailments. His high agility can also be useful.

Alternative: If you prefer more physical damage, Akihiko can replace Mitsuru or Koromaru for his Electric and Strike attacks, along with his debuffs.

The Appraiser Battle Strategy

The Appraiser is a formidable foe, accompanied by two minions. The key to this battle is managing the adds while focusing damage on the main target.

  1. Initial Phase: Dealing with the Minions
    • The Appraiser will be accompanied by two Judgement Swords. These enemies are weak to Ice and Pierce attacks.
    • Focus your initial attacks on one Judgement Sword at a time. Use Bufudyne from Mitsuru and Pierce attacks from Aigis or the Protagonist.
    • Once one is down, the battle becomes significantly easier. Continue to eliminate the second Judgement Sword.
    • Be wary of their physical attacks, which can hit hard. Use Tarunda on them if possible.
  2. The Appraiser's Attacks and Weaknesses
    • The Appraiser itself has no inherent weaknesses. It primarily uses Almighty attacks and powerful physical attacks.
    • It can also inflict various status ailments, so having Homunculi or a Persona with Amrita Shower is a good idea.
    • Focus on consistent damage output from your strongest attackers. Physical skills like God's Hand or Pralaya (if you have them) are excellent.
    • Maintain Tarukaja on your attackers and Rakukaja on your party. Debilitate on the Appraiser will also significantly reduce its threat.
  3. Healing and Support
    • Yukari should be on constant healing duty, using Mediarahan as needed.
    • The Protagonist can also contribute with support Personas that have healing or buff/debuff spells.
    • Don't be afraid to use Soma or Snuff Souls to restore SP to your healers and magic users.
  4. The All-Out Attack Opportunity
    • While the Appraiser itself doesn't have a weakness, knocking down its Judgement Swords will create opportunities for All-Out Attacks. Capitalize on these to deal significant damage.
    • Even after the swords are gone, if you manage to inflict a critical hit on the Appraiser, you can still trigger an All-Out Attack.

With careful planning and execution, the Appraiser will fall, marking the end of the Full Moon Operations. Good luck, SEES!
