Akihiko Sanada is a fast, aggressive rushdown character who excels at close-range pressure and mix-ups. His unique 'Cyclone' mechanic allows him to charge up his attacks for increased damage and properties. Akihiko's gameplan involves getting in close, applying relentless pressure with his quick jabs and strong normals, and using his Persona, Polydeuces, for combo extensions and defensive maneuvers. His Corkscrew (236A/B) and Ducking (214A/B) attacks are excellent for closing gaps and creating mix-up opportunities. A strong Akihiko build focuses on maximizing Cyclone charges, converting every hit into a damaging combo, and using his SP Skills like Maziodyne (236236C/D) for burst damage. Practice his dash-ins and quick overheads to keep opponents guessing.
