Your Persona Cards (small cards next to your character portrait) are a critical resource. Each time your Persona is hit while active, you lose a card. Losing all four cards results in a Persona Break, which temporarily disables all Persona attacks and leaves you vulnerable. To avoid this, be mindful of when you summon your Persona. Don't leave it out unnecessarily, especially against characters with multi-hit attacks. Use your Persona for quick pokes, combo extensions, and safe pressure, but recall it quickly. Some characters, like Elizabeth, have unique Persona mechanics that require different management strategies. Learning to bait your opponent into hitting your Persona when it's safe, or punishing them for hitting it when it's vulnerable, is an advanced tactic. Protecting your Persona is as important as protecting your character.
