Investigation Team Members
The Investigation Team is the core group of allies you'll rely on throughout Persona 4 Golden. Each member has their own unique personality, strengths, and struggles, which are explored through their Social Links and their involvement in the main story. Understanding their roles and motivations is key to unraveling the mysteries of Inaba.
Each member of the Investigation Team has a corresponding Social Link that you can develop. As you strengthen these bonds, you'll not only learn more about their personal lives but also unlock powerful Personas of the same Arcana, which are essential for combat and fusion. Some team members' Social Links are tied to story progression, while others are entirely optional.
July 1st - Daytime Activities
On July 1st, your daytime activity should be reporting to the Fox about the completed quest. This will advance the Hermit Social Link to Rank 5. This is a crucial step in strengthening your bond with the Fox and unlocking its unique abilities and benefits within the TV World.
July 2nd - Daytime Activities
July 2nd's daytime offers several opportunities. Head to the shrine to accept Quest 11, which is likely related to the Hermit Social Link (Rank 6). Afterward, speak to the man outside the Marutake Hobby Shop in the North Shopping District to obtain the "Unfinished Model." Finally, visit Yomenaido Bookstore to purchase "Short on Cash" and "Expert Fishing" for 6300 yen. These items are vital for progression.
July 3rd - Daytime Activities
On July 3rd, you have the option to hang out with Ayane and Daisuke. This interaction will provide relationship points with both Ayane and Kou/Daisuke, contributing to their respective Social Links. This is a good opportunity to advance these bonds and gain their favor.
July 4th - Daytime Activities
July 4th's daytime is perfect for answering "Pascal" in class. This correct answer will grant you +1 Expression and a relationship boost with Yosuke. Following this, spend time with Ayane (Sun Social Link 5), which will result in +2 Expression. Choose the dialogue options "Talk to her" and "Don't worry, you can do it!" to maximize the boost.
July 5th - Daytime Activities
On July 5th, spend time with Naoki (Hanged Man Social Link 3). The recommended dialogue choices are "Tell an American joke" and "Let the gossipers gossip." This interaction will further develop your bond with Naoki and progress his Social Link.
July 6th - Daytime Activities
July 6th offers several Social Link opportunities. You can spend time with Yukiko (Priestess), Kanji (Emperor), Kou/Daisuke (Strength), Ai (Moon), Naoki (Hanged Man), or Marie (Aeon). Choose the character that best fits your current progression goals.
July 9th - Daytime Activities
On July 9th, accept Quest 12 from the Fox at the shrine. This is essential for advancing the Hermit Social Link (Rank 7). Afterward, consider eating at Aiya for the Rainy Day Special Mega Beef Bowl Challenge, which grants +1 Understanding, +1 Knowledge, and +1 Courage for 3000 yen.
July 10th - Daytime Activities
July 10th's daytime activities are focused on story progression. You will formally meet Naoto Shirogane. During your interactions, choose "Leave it to me" to gain a Courage increase. This is a pivotal moment in the narrative and for unlocking new Social Links.
July 11th - Daytime Activities
July 11th's daytime is occupied by a story event. No specific Social Link activities are available. Use this time to prepare for upcoming events or manage your inventory. The story progression here is crucial for unlocking further opportunities.
July 12th - Daytime Activities
On July 12th, you can spend time with Adachi (Jester Social Link 6). The dialogue options "You slacking off again?", "Good for you.", and "But doesn't it get lonely?" are recommended. Note that this is the maximum rank achievable with Adachi until a later point in the story.
July 13th - Daytime Activities
July 13th's daytime activities include spending time with Nanako (Justice), Sayoko (Devil), or Shu (Tower). If you choose Sayoko, select "Hang in there." This will advance the Devil Social Link to Rank 7 and grant you +1 Courage, along with 6500 yen. This is a good opportunity to strengthen your bond with Sayoko.
July 14th - Daytime Activities
