Key Items
Key Items in Persona 4 Golden serve various purposes, from advancing the story to unlocking new content. Some are obtained through specific actions, while others are tied to completing character arcs. These items are crucial for a complete gameplay experience.
Social Link Key Items
To obtain the Key Item associated with a Social Link Persona, you must max out every Social Link at least once. These Key Items make their respective Social Link Personas available for fusion or other purposes. The Compendium carries over to New Game Plus, so this process does not need to be completed in a single playthrough.
Velvet Room Key Items
After entering the Velvet Room and acquiring the "Orb of Sight" Key Item, you need to re-enter the Velvet Room. Margaret will be alone and will challenge you to a battle. Upon completing this, you will receive the "Aqua Invitation" Key Item.
Equipment Shop and Materials
The equipment shop sells weapons, armor, and accessories. Its inventory expands as you sell items found within the Midnight Channel. To discover what Master Daidara, the shop owner, needs, speak with him. The shop is also open at night on rainy days. Refer to the Item List for details on available equipment and required materials.
Gems and Shiroku Pub
Gems are special items acquired after winning battles. Unlike other materials, Gems have an additional purpose beyond being sold. You can trade these Gems with the old lady at the Shiroku Pub to obtain new weapons. The Shiroku Pub is located in the same building as the Shiroku Store and is only accessible during the evening.
