After the Golden Week holiday, a new victim, Kanji Tatsumi, disappears into the TV World. This period introduces you to the concept of Social Links more formally. Start building relationships with your party members and other NPCs. You'll also gain access to new areas in Inaba. The deadline for Kanji's rescue is May 18th.
