Weakness & Resistances:
- Shadow Kanji: None.
- Tough Guy: Weak to Fire, Resists Physical.
- Nice Guy: Weak to Ice, Resists Physical.
Party Setup:
- Protagonist: Personas with Fire, Ice, and Elec skills. Healing Personas.
- Yosuke: Wind skills (Garu), Dia.
- Chie: Ice skills (Bufu), physical attacks.
- Yukiko: Fire skills (Agi), healing (Dia, Media).
Strategy:
Shadow Kanji is a tough physical attacker, and he's accompanied by two support Shadows. The key to this fight is managing the adds first.
Phase 1 (Adds): Shadow Kanji is accompanied by 'Tough Guy' (x2) and 'Nice Guy'.
- Focus on the Tough Guys first. They are weak to Fire. Have Yukiko use Agi/Maragi and the Protagonist use a Fire Persona to take them down quickly.
- Next, target the Nice Guy. He is weak to Ice. Have Chie use Bufu and the Protagonist use an Ice Persona.
Once the adds are down, Shadow Kanji will be alone.
Phase 2 (Shadow Kanji): Shadow Kanji has no weaknesses, so you'll need to rely on raw damage. He uses powerful physical attacks (e.g., Swift Strike, Herculean Strike) and can inflict 'Rage'.
- Use Tarukaja (Chie) to boost your party's attack.
- Keep your HP high with Yukiko's healing.
- Use your strongest physical attacks and elemental spells that aren't resisted.
- Guard when he charges up for his 'Forbidden Murmur' attack, as it deals heavy damage.
- Cure 'Rage' immediately, as it makes your characters uncontrollable and vulnerable.
Rewards:
- Kanji joins the party.
- Unlocks the 'Emperor' Social Link (Kanji).
