Shops & Services

Navigating Inaba and its surrounding areas means knowing where to find essential goods and services. This section details the key establishments you'll frequent, their offerings, and strategies to make the most of your yen.

Shiroku Store

Located in the Central Shopping District, South, the Shiroku Store is your primary destination for healing items and dungeon-crawling necessities. It's run by the ever-friendly Daidara, who also offers a unique service for crafting weapons.

Healing & Support Items

Always stock up before heading into the TV World. Prioritize items that restore HP and SP, as these are crucial for extended dungeon runs. Consider purchasing a few status-curing items as well, especially for boss encounters.

  • Medicine: Basic HP recovery. Essential in the early game.
  • Soul Drop: Recovers a small amount of SP. Crucial for Persona skills.
  • Disinfectant: Cures Poison.
  • Eye Drops: Cures Blind.
  • Sedative: Cures Fear.
  • Revival Bead: Revives a fallen ally with some HP. Always carry a few!

Weapon Crafting & Sales (Daidara)

Daidara can forge powerful weapons and armor using materials dropped by Shadows in the TV World. This is often the best way to acquire strong equipment for your party.

  1. Collect Materials: Defeat Shadows in dungeons to obtain various "Material" items (e.g., Lead Plate, Sharp Fang, Fine Steel).
  2. Visit Daidara: Speak to Daidara at the Shiroku Store.
  3. Select "Forge Equipment": Browse the available weapons and armor. Items you can craft will be highlighted.
  4. Prioritize: Focus on upgrading your main character's weapon first, then your active party members. Consider crafting armor that offers good defensive stats or resistances.
  5. Sell Old Equipment: Daidara also buys old weapons and armor. Don't hoard outdated gear; sell it for extra cash to fund new purchases.

Strategy Tip: Check Daidara's inventory after clearing each new dungeon floor or defeating a boss. New crafting options often become available as you acquire new materials.

Aiya Chinese Restaurant

Found in the Central Shopping District, North, Aiya offers more than just delicious food. It's a prime location for boosting your social stats, particularly on rainy days.

Special Mega Beef Bowl Challenge

On rainy days, Aiya offers the "Mega Beef Bowl Challenge" for ¥3,000. Successfully completing this challenge (which requires specific social stat levels) grants a significant boost to multiple social stats simultaneously. This is an extremely efficient way to improve your character.

  • Requirements: The challenge demands high levels in Courage, Knowledge, and Diligence.
  • Rewards: Successfully eating the Mega Beef Bowl will increase your Courage, Knowledge, Diligence, Expression, and Understanding.
  • Strategy: Prioritize visiting Aiya on rainy days once your social stats are reasonably high. It's a fantastic investment of time and money for stat growth.

Tatsuhime Shrine

Located in the Tatsuhime Shrine area, this isn't a shop in the traditional sense, but it offers a valuable service for enhancing your Personas.

Praying for Persona Skill Cards

By praying at the shrine, you can receive Skill Cards for your Personas. This is an excellent way to customize your Personas' abilities or acquire specific skills for fusion. The available Skill Cards change periodically, so check back often.

  • Cost: Praying costs a small amount of yen.
  • Benefit: You'll receive a random Skill Card that you can then teach to any of your Personas.
  • Strategy: If you're looking for a particular skill or want to round out a Persona's moveset, make a stop at the shrine. It's especially useful for acquiring rare or powerful skills early on.

Vending Machines

Scattered throughout Inaba, vending machines offer cheap, single-use healing and SP recovery items. While not as potent as Shiroku Store's offerings, they can be lifesavers in a pinch or for topping off between minor encounters.

  • Locations: Look for them in the Central Shopping District, School, and other common areas.
  • Items: Typically offer items like "TaP Soda" (minor HP recovery) and "Orange Smash" (minor SP recovery).
  • Strategy: Buy a few whenever you pass one, especially early in the game when money is tight and SP recovery options are limited. They're a good emergency backup.

Croco Fur (Weapon Shop)

While Daidara handles most of your weapon needs, Croco Fur, located in Okina City, offers a selection of unique and often powerful weapons and armor that cannot be crafted. You'll gain access to Okina City later in the game.

  • Access: Accessible via the bus stop in the Central Shopping District once you've progressed far enough in the story (typically after May).
  • Offerings: Croco Fur sells high-tier equipment that can be a significant upgrade over crafted items.
  • Strategy: Visit Croco Fur periodically after unlocking Okina City. Compare their offerings to what Daidara can craft. Sometimes, the unique items here are worth the higher price tag.

Cafe Chagall (Skill Card Duplication)

Also located in Okina City, Cafe Chagall provides a valuable service: duplicating Skill Cards. This allows you to create multiple copies of a single Skill Card, which is incredibly useful for customizing multiple Personas or sharing powerful skills across your team.

  • Access: Like Croco Fur, it's accessible after unlocking Okina City.
  • Process: Bring a Skill Card you wish to duplicate. The duplication process takes a few in-game days to complete.
  • Cost: Duplication costs yen, with the price varying based on the rarity and power of the Skill Card.
  • Strategy: Duplicate highly desirable Skill Cards, especially those that are difficult to obtain or are essential for specific builds (e.g., powerful elemental spells, healing skills, or passive abilities like Growth). Plan ahead, as the time investment means you can't get the duplicate immediately.
