February: Walkthrough

Welcome to February, Inaba's final stretch! This month is crucial for tying up loose ends, maximizing your Social Links, and preparing for the game's various endings. Depending on your progress, you'll have different priorities. We'll cover the Golden Ending path, as it offers the most content and satisfaction.

General February Strategy

  • Social Links: Prioritize any remaining Social Links you wish to max out. If you're aiming for the Golden Ending, ensure you've maxed out Marie's Social Link (Aeon) by February 13th.
  • Dungeon Crawling: The Hollow Forest (Marie's dungeon) must be completed by February 13th. If you haven't done so, make it your absolute priority.
  • Persona Compendium: If you're aiming for 100% Persona completion, use your free time to fuse any missing Personas.
  • Equipment: Ensure your party is well-equipped with the best gear available from Daidara Metalworks. Consider crafting powerful weapons and armor from materials found in dungeons.
  • Skill Cards: Spend time at the Shiroku Store to obtain useful Skill Cards from the Persona Compendium.

February 1st - February 12th: Hollow Forest Preparation & Completion

This period is dedicated to completing the Hollow Forest. If you've already cleared it, you'll have more free time for Social Links and other activities. However, for the Golden Ending, Marie's Social Link must be maxed out, and the Hollow Forest completed before February 13th.

Key Dates & Actions:

  • February 1st - February 12th:
    • Daytime: If Marie's Social Link is not maxed, spend every available daytime slot with her. If it is maxed, focus on other Social Links or activities.
    • Evening: Work on Social Links, part-time jobs, or fuse Personas.
  • Hollow Forest Strategy:
    • Access: The Hollow Forest becomes accessible after maxing out Marie's Social Link (Aeon) and speaking with Margaret.
    • Party Setup: Bring your strongest party members. Yu (Protagonist) should have Personas with a wide range of elemental attacks and healing spells. Consider bringing Yukiko for healing, Chie or Kanji for physical damage, and Yosuke for support and wind damage.
    • Items: Stock up on healing items (e.g., Medical Powder, Soul Drop), SP recovery items (e.g., Snuff Soul, Chewing Soul), and Goho-M for quick exits.
    • Unique Mechanics: The Hollow Forest has a unique SP drain mechanic. Your SP will constantly deplete. To mitigate this, seek out "Restoration Spots" on each floor, which fully restore your SP. Plan your routes to hit these spots.
    • Bosses: Each floor has a mini-boss. The final boss, Kusumi-no-Okami, is a formidable opponent. Ensure your party is at a high level (ideally 80+) and has strong Personas. Focus on exploiting weaknesses if possible, but primarily rely on powerful single-target and multi-target attacks. Have plenty of Homunculus to guard against insta-kill attacks.

February 13th: The Golden Ending Trigger

This is a critical day for the Golden Ending. If you have successfully maxed Marie's Social Link and completed the Hollow Forest, a special event will occur.

  • Morning: You will automatically visit the Velvet Room. Margaret will congratulate you and provide you with the Orb of Sight.
  • Afternoon/Evening: This day is generally free. Use it to finish any remaining Social Links or prepare for the final days.

February 14th - March 19th: Final Social Links & Preparations

With the Hollow Forest behind you, the remaining days are for maximizing your Social Links and enjoying the final moments in Inaba.

Key Activities:

  • Social Link Focus: Prioritize any Social Links that are not yet maxed. Remember that some Social Links are only available on specific days or times.
  • Part-Time Jobs: If you need money or want to raise specific Social Stats, part-time jobs are still available.
  • Fishing: If you're aiming for the Fishing King title or need specific fish for quests, head to the Samegawa Flood Plain or Shichiri Beach.
  • Garden: Harvest any remaining crops from your garden.
  • Book Reading: Finish any unread books to gain permanent stat boosts.
  • Shopping: Visit the Shiroku Store and Daidara Metalworks to purchase any last-minute items or equipment.

March 20th: The True Ending Path

This is the final day of the game. Your choices on this day will determine which ending you receive.

Morning: Farewell to Friends

  • You will have the opportunity to say goodbye to all your maxed Social Link friends. This is a heartwarming sequence and a reward for your efforts.

Afternoon: The Investigation Continues

After saying your goodbyes, you will be prompted to leave Inaba. DO NOT LEAVE YET!

  1. Go to Junes: Instead of going home, head to Junes.
  2. Speak to Friends: You will find your friends gathered. Speak to each of them.
  3. Re-examine the Case: After speaking to everyone, you will be given the option to "Re-examine the case." Choose this option.
  4. Visit the Gas Station Attendant: After the conversation, head to the Gas Station in the Central Shopping District. Speak to the Gas Station Attendant. This is the crucial step for unlocking the True/Golden Ending.
  5. The Final Dungeon: This will lead you to the game's true final dungeon. Be prepared for a lengthy and challenging sequence of events.

Warning: If you choose to go home without re-examining the case and speaking to the Gas Station Attendant, you will receive a different, less complete ending.
