Quests (General)
Beyond the main story progression and Social Links, Inaba offers several optional quests that reward you with valuable items, experience, and sometimes even new features. These quests are typically initiated by speaking with specific NPCs around town and often involve fetching items from the TV World or performing certain tasks. Prioritizing these can significantly aid your journey, especially early on.
Quest Types
- Fetch Quests: The most common type, requiring you to retrieve specific items from shadows in the TV World.
- Investigation Quests: These involve talking to various townspeople to gather information or find a particular person.
- Skill-Based Quests: Some quests require a certain level in one of your social stats (Knowledge, Diligence, Courage, Expression, Understanding) to complete.
General Quest Strategies
- Accept All Available Quests: There's no penalty for accepting a quest and not immediately completing it. Accepting them ensures you're tracking potential objectives as you explore.
- Combine Objectives: Many fetch quests require items from the same dungeon. Plan your TV World excursions to tackle multiple quest objectives in a single visit to save time and SP.
- Check Your Inventory: You might already have a required item without realizing it. Always check your inventory before heading into the TV World specifically for a quest item.
- Talk to Everyone: NPCs often provide hints about quest locations or conditions. Make it a habit to speak with townsfolk, especially after major story events.
- Prioritize Time-Sensitive Quests: While most quests don't have strict deadlines, some might become unavailable after certain story points. If a quest seems tied to a current event, try to complete it promptly.
