Dungeon Exploration (Palaces & Mementos)

Dungeon exploration in Persona 5 Royal involves navigating both Palaces and the expansive Mementos. While Palaces are story-driven, Mementos offers optional requests, unique enemies, and valuable resources. Understanding the mechanics of each is key to efficient progress and character development.

Mementos

Mementos Requests are not always Confidant-related, but they offer significant EXP and items. You can choose to skip many of them if not pursuing the Moon Confidant, but they are generally worth tackling.

"The Bark and Bite of A Bully"

- Location: Aiyatsubus 2nd Floor
- Details: This is Mishima's first Request. You automatically get details to pursue the target in Mementos. The target can also be found outside Shujin Academy's School Gate at Aoyama-Itchome.
- Mementos Fight: Boss Fight: Jack Frost/Shadow Takanashi. This Jack Frost does not have a Fire weakness. It uses Evil Touch to inflict Fear and Lucky Punch for criticals. Use Personas that resist Physical attacks (e.g., Slime) and items to cure Fear. Ann is not vulnerable to Ice attacks in this fight.
"One Who Bullies Bullies"
- Available: Complete "The Bark and Bite of a Bully"
- Difficulty: D
- Research Required: Yes
- Location: Aiyatsubus 5th Floor
- Details: To start, go to the School Gate at Aoyama-Itchome and listen to a conversation near the vending machines for information.
- Mementos Fight: Boss Fight: Black Frost/Shadow Sakoda. You might not be able to fuse a Black Frost yet.

Mementos is available before the second dungeon, providing an early opportunity for exploration and resource gathering. Money estimates are tricky, as you can manage with minimal spending.
