Mementos is the collective unconscious of Tokyo, a vast, ever-shifting dungeon that serves as the Phantom Thieves' primary hub for side quests and grinding. Its layout is procedurally generated, meaning each visit presents a new configuration of paths, rooms, and enemies. - Procedural Generation: Mementos's layout changes with each visit, ensuring a fresh experience every time. Floors are divided into sections, and the path between them is randomized.
- Progression: As you progress through the main story and complete Palace objectives, new areas and deeper levels of Mementos become accessible.
- Mementos Requests: These are side quests obtained from the Phan-Site or through various NPCs. They involve finding and defeating specific Shadows within Mementos, often rewarding money, items, and Confidant points.
- Jose: A mysterious character found in Mementos who can alter the dungeon's properties. He collects flowers and stamps, which can be exchanged for items or used to change the dungeon's encounter rate and item drop rates.
