Confidant Availability & Deadlines
Understanding Confidant availability and their associated deadlines is crucial for maximizing your time and achieving 100% completion in Persona 5 Royal. Each Confidant has specific times and days they can be met, and some have soft deadlines tied to story progression.
General Availability:
- Party Members: Most party member Confidants are available after their respective story arcs are completed and they rejoin the Phantom Thieves. Their availability can vary, so check your schedule.
- Story-Related Confidants: Confidants like Igor (Fool), Lavenza (Strength), and Maruki (Councilor) have their ranks tied to story progression and are generally available when the story dictates.
- Part-Time Job Confidants: Characters like Tae Takemi (Death), Munehisa Iwai (Hanged Man), and Chihaya Mifune (Fortune) are often available during evenings or specific days when you work at their associated locations or when they are free.
- School Confidants: Characters like Shinya Oda (Tower) and Hifumi Togo (Star) are typically available after school on specific days.
Deadlines:
- Palace Deadlines: The most critical deadlines are the ones for completing Palaces. Failing to complete a Palace by its desated deadline will result in a Game Over. This often means prioritizing Confidant activities that don't require sificant time commitment in the days leading up to the deadline.
- Confidant Rank-Up Deadlines: While most Confidants don't have hard deadlines for ranking up, some may become unavailable after certain story events or if you miss specific opportunities. It's always best to rank them up as soon as possible.
- Royal Content: The new Confidants introduced in Persona 5 Royal, such as Kasumi Yoshizawa (Faith) and Takuto Maruki (Councilor), have specific windows of availability, especially during the third semester. Missing these opportunities can lock you out of their content.
Tips for Managing Availability:
- Check Your Schedule: Regularly consult your in-game calendar and character icons to see who is available.
- Prioritize: Focus on Confidants that offer the most immediate benefits or have limited availability.
- Use Time Wisely: Combine Confidant meetings with stat-building activities or other tasks when possible.
