Persona 5 Royal introduces several changes and new content compared to the original Persona 5. This guide is written to help players navigate these changes and achieve a 100% playthrough. Here are some key tips:

  • Schedule Planning: The walkthrough details what you can do on a given day and what the guide writer did, allowing you to plan your own schedule or follow along for a complete playthrough.
  • New Characters: You will be introduced to new characters like Kasumi Yoshizawa early in the game (April 12th).
  • Combat Changes: Even veteran Persona 5 players should pay attention to combat tutorials, as some mechanics have changed. For example, guns now regain ammunition after every fight.
  • Save Data Bonuses: If you have save data from the original Persona 5, you will receive bonus items at your new home on April 12th. These include:
    • Hogyoku Apple x 3 (full team heal)
    • Band-Ace x 3 (single use revive)
    • 50,000 yen
  • Mementos Requests: While some Mementos Requests are tied to the Moon Confidant, many can be skipped if you're not interested. However, they are a good source of EXP and items, making them worth tackling.
  • First Request: The Bark and Bite of A Bully

    • Difficulty: D
    • Location: Aiyatsubus 2nd Floor (Mementos), or outside Shujin Academy's School Gate at Aoyama-Itchome.
    • Boss Fight: Jack Frost/Shadow Takanashi. Fire is NOT its weakness in this fight!
    • Tactics: This boss uses Evil Touch to inflict Fear, which can paralyze team members or make them leave. It also uses Lucky Punch for critical hits. Use Personas that resist Physical attacks like Slime, and bring items to cure Fear. Brute-force is often necessary if you can manage Fear and Lucky Punch.
