The Velvet Room & Its Functions

The Velvet Room is a liminal space accessible through specific means, serving as the hub for Persona fusion and management. It's overseen by Igor, the enigmatic master of the Velvet Room, and his assistants, Caroline and Justine (or Lavenza in Royal). Understanding its functions is paramount to building a powerful and versatile team.

The primary function of the Velvet Room is Persona Fusion. Here, you can combine two or more Personas to create a new one, inheriting skills from the parent Personas. This process allows you to tailor your Personas' abilities to exploit enemy weaknesses, resist attacks, and learn powerful new skills.

Basic Fusion: Select two or more Personas from your roster to fuse. The resulting Persona will belong to a specific Arcana and will inherit a limited number of skills from its predecessors.
Advanced Fusion: Certain Personas can only be created through specific fusion recipes, often requiring higher levels or specific skill combinations. These are usually more powerful and essential for late-game challenges.
Skill Inheritance: When fusing, you can choose which skills the new Persona will inherit. Prioritize skills that cover your party's weaknesses or grant powerful offensive and support capabilities.

Beyond fusion, the Velvet Room also allows you to:

Register Personas: Save a copy of your current Persona to the Compendium. This allows you to re-summon it later for a fee, even if you've already fused it away.
Manage Personas: View your current Persona roster, check their stats and skills, and dismiss unwanted Personas.
Level Up Personas: Through various means, including combat experience and specific items, you can increase a Persona's level, improving its stats and potentially unlocking new skills.

The Velvet Room's assistants also offer Requests. Completing these often involves specific Persona fusions or defeating certain enemies, and rewards you with valuable items or unlocks new fusion possibilities.
