Romance Options & Consequences
In Persona 5 Royal, building relationships with certain female confidants can lead to romance. Successfully romancing a character unlocks special dialogue and events, and can even provide unique benefits. However, choosing to romance multiple characters can lead to negative consequences, impacting your social stats and potentially your relationships.
There are several characters you can pursue a romantic relationship with:
- Ann Takamaki (Lovers): A fellow student and one of the first Phantom Thieves.
- Makoto Niijima (Priestess): The student council president who joins the Phantom Thieves.
- Futaba Sakura (Hermit): The Phantom Thieves' navigator and a brilliant hacker.
- Haru Okumura (Empress): The heir to a large corporation and the final Phantom Thief to join.
- Sadayo Kawakami (Temperance): Your homeroom teacher, who offers unique services.
- Tae Takemi (Death): A doctor running a clinic in Yongen-Jaya.
- Chihaya Mifune (Fortune): A fortune teller with a mysterious past.
- Hifumi Togo (Star): A strategic board game enthusiast.
- Kasumi Yoshizawa (Faith): A new character introduced in Persona 5 Royal.
To initiate a romance, you must reach a certain rank with these confidants and consistently choose the correct dialogue options that express romantic interest. Reaching Rank 9 with these characters will present a choice to pursue romance. If you choose to do so, you will trigger a special scene. Be mindful that juggling multiple romantic interests can lead to negative social stat penalties on Valentine's Day, so it's often best to focus on one.
