How to Defeat The Reaper in Persona 5 Royal

The Reaper is a notoriously powerful optional boss found in Mementos, serving as a sificant challenge for even seasoned players. Defeating The Reaper is not only a test of your combat prowess but also a requirement for certain trophies and for unlocking the ultimate Persona of the Strength Confidant.

To encounter The Reaper, you must first reach a certain point in Mementos and then wait for a specific condition: the appearance of shadows that are sificantly weaker than usual. This often happens when you have completed a sificant number of Mementos requests or when a certain in-game date passes. Once these conditions are met, The Reaper will appear as a unique shadow in Mementos. It's advisable to be at least level 70-80 before attempting this fight.

The Reaper possesses a devastating arsenal of attacks, including powerful physical skills, instant-death spells, and debilitating status ailments. It also has a high resistance to most elements. The key to victory lies in exploiting its weaknesses when they appear, which are typically Bless and Curse. Having Personas that can nullify or resist physical attacks and status ailments is crucial. Utilize party members with strong healing and support capabilities, such as Oracle for her support skills, and focus on dealing consistent damage with your strongest Personas. Remember to save before engaging The Reaper, as it is a difficult fight that may require multiple attempts.
