Persona Database

Welcome to the comprehensive Persona Database for Persona 5 Strikers! This section is your ultimate resource for understanding, acquiring, and optimizing every Persona available to Joker. Mastering your Persona collection is crucial for tackling the toughest Jails and defeating powerful Monarchs. We'll guide you through the intricacies of the Velvet Room, fusion mechanics, and efficient Persona management.

Understanding the Persona Database

The Persona Database is accessible directly from the Velvet Room menu. It serves as a catalog of every Persona you've encountered, captured, or fused. Each entry provides vital information, including:

  • Arcana: The Persona's associated Arcana, which can influence fusion results and skill inheritance.
  • Level: The Persona's base level. Higher-level Personas generally have better stats and more potent skills.
  • Stats: A breakdown of Strength, Magic, Endurance, Agility, and Luck.
  • Skills: A list of all skills the Persona learns naturally as it levels up.
  • Affinities: Crucial information on a Persona's strengths, weaknesses, resistances, and immunities to various elemental and physical attack types.
  • Fusion Recipes: For Personas you've already obtained, the database will often suggest possible fusion combinations to create them.

Acquiring New Personas

There are two primary methods for expanding your Persona collection:

1. Mask Collection (Shadow Negotiation)

During combat encounters in Jails, certain Shadows, when weakened, will sometimes drop their Masks. Collecting a Mask automatically registers that Persona in your database and adds it to your inventory. This is the most straightforward way to acquire new Personas early in the game.

  • Strategy: Focus on exploiting enemy weaknesses to trigger "1 More" opportunities and All-Out Attacks. This increases the likelihood of Shadows dropping Masks.
  • Item Tip: While not directly tied to Mask drops, using items like Soul Vials to restore SP allows you to prolong battles and increase your chances of Mask acquisition.

2. Persona Fusion (Velvet Room)

The Velvet Room, overseen by Lavenza, is where you can fuse two or more existing Personas to create a new, often more powerful one. This is the cornerstone of Persona optimization.

  • Fusion Types:
    • Basic Fusion: Combine two Personas to create a new one. The resulting Persona's level is determined by the average level of the ingredients, plus bonuses.
    • Advanced Fusion: Certain powerful Personas require specific combinations of three or more Personas. These are often indicated by a unique icon in the fusion menu.
  • Skill Inheritance: When fusing, you can select which skills from the ingredient Personas are inherited by the new Persona. This is vital for creating Personas with optimal skill sets.
    • Tip: Pay attention to the Arcana of the ingredient Personas and the resulting Persona. Certain Arcanas have affinities for specific skill types, increasing the likelihood of inheriting those skills. For example, a Persona of the Magician Arcana is more likely to inherit elemental magic skills.
    • Strategy: Fuse Personas with desirable passive skills (e.g., Auto-Mataru, Ali Dance) onto stronger Personas to create ultimate builds.
  • Fusion Alarms: Occasionally, Lavenza will announce a "Fusion Alarm." During an alarm, fusion results in Personas with boosted stats and a higher chance of inheriting powerful skills.
    • Actionable Step: Always prioritize fusing during a Fusion Alarm. If you have Personas you want to level up quickly or create with specific skills, this is the ideal time.
    • Risk/Reward: Fusing during an alarm can sometimes lead to "Accidents," resulting in a random Persona or a Persona with unusual skills. However, the benefits often outweigh the risks.

Persona Leveling and Strengthening

Once you have a Persona, you can further enhance it:

  • Combat: Personas gain experience points and level up alongside Joker in battle.
  • Strengthening: In the Velvet Room, you can "Strengthen" a Persona by sacrificing another Persona. The sacrificed Persona's experience points are transferred to the target Persona, allowing for rapid leveling.
    • Item Tip: Using Incense items (e.g., Strength Incense, Magic Incense) during strengthening will permanently boost specific stats of the target Persona. These are rare drops from powerful Shadows or found in treasure chests in later Jails.
    • Strategy: Save your Incense for your most powerful or frequently used Personas to maximize their potential.

Efficient Persona Management

  • Registering Personas: Every Persona you obtain or fuse is automatically registered in the database. You can re-summon registered Personas for a fee, even if you've used them in fusion.
    • Tip: Always register Personas with desirable skills or high stats before using them in fusion, especially if you might want to re-summon them later for different fusion recipes.
  • Skill Cards: Certain Personas drop Skill Cards when defeated or can be obtained from treasure chests. These cards can be used to teach specific skills to any Persona.
    • Location Example: The Mediarama Skill Card can sometimes be found in chests within the Sapporo Jail.
    • Strategy: Use Skill Cards to fill gaps in a Persona's skill set or to transfer powerful skills that are difficult to inherit through fusion.
  • Compendium Completion: Striving to complete your Persona Compendium (collecting every Persona) is a long-term goal that unlocks powerful rewards and achievements.

By diligently managing your Persona collection, understanding fusion mechanics, and exploiting weaknesses, you'll be well-equipped to face any challenge Persona 5 Strikers throws your way!
